Subject: VistaMeet keeps dropping calls with clients
Hi Denton,
Since we switched from CallBridge to VistaMeet two weeks ago, I have had my connection drop mid-call three separate times, twice while on the line with clients. It happens most often when I share my screen, which I do constantly since I walk clients through their statements. My home internet is stable enough for everything else I do, including video calls on my personal laptop, so I do not think the issue is on my end.
I checked the FAQ page and it suggests lowering my video resolution, but I have already tried that and the drops still happen. I also noticed that two colleagues on my team, both working from apartments with the building's shared internet, have not reported any problems at all, which makes me wonder if this is specific to certain home setups or specific to VistaMeet's screen-share feature itself.
Given that quarterly client reviews start next week and screen sharing is essential for those calls, I would like this resolved before then if at all possible. Would it help if I switched back to CallBridge just for that week while the issue is investigated, or is that no longer an option now that the company has moved fully to VistaMeet?
Thanks,
Priya

Hi Priya,
Thanks for the detailed report. You are not the only one flagging screen-share drops, and it turns out the issue is specific to VistaMeet's newest screen-share codec, not to your home connection. A patch is scheduled for release in ten days, which unfortunately falls after your quarterly reviews begin.
In the meantime, CallBridge has not actually been decommissioned, only deprioritized, so switching back for client-facing calls is fine until the patch lands. I have restored your CallBridge license as of this morning; you should see it in your app list within the hour.
As for why some colleagues have not seen the issue: the bug only triggers when screen sharing runs for more than roughly twenty minutes continuously, so people on shorter internal calls are less likely to notice it. It is not related to home internet setup at all, so please disregard the FAQ's resolution suggestion for this particular problem.
Once the patch is live, I will send a note confirming it is safe to move client calls back to VistaMeet. Good luck with the reviews.
