1. Who is responsible

MED Q Computer Systems Design operates CELPIP Coach (celpip.info) and is the data controller for the personal data described here.

2. What we collect and why

• Account data (email, name, login details) — to create and run your account (contract).
• Practice data (answers, essays, scores, progress) — to provide practice and track progress (contract).
• Speaking recordings and transcripts — to score and give feedback (contract). Recordings are stored privately and deleted after 30 days.
• Subscription status (plan, status, renewal date, payment customer and subscription IDs) — to unlock Premium (contract). We do not receive or store your card details.
• Usage and device data (pages visited, basic events, IP address, browser) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the service (legitimate interests).
• Support messages — to answer you (legitimate interests).

3. Who we share it with

• Service providers that host the site, database and AI scoring features.
• Stripe, our payment processor, for taking payments, managing subscriptions, tax calculation and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities, where required by law.

We don't sell your personal data or use third-party advertising trackers.

4. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account and practice data while your account is open, Speaking recordings for up to 30 days, and billing records as long as the law requires. Data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your data protection authority. We respond within one month.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and private storage to protect your data.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use only essential storage: to keep you signed in and remember settings such as theme, text size and reading notes. We don't use advertising cookies.
