Which test do you need?
Permanent residence applications typically require CELPIP-General (all four skills). Citizenship applications use CELPIP-General LS (Listening and Speaking). Confirm the current requirement on the IRCC website.
A four-week plan (our suggestion)
- Week 1: take a full mock to find your weakest skill.
- Week 2: daily practice on the weakest skill plus one Speaking task.
- Week 3: Writing Tasks 1 and 2 every other day, compared with model answers.
- Week 4: two more full mocks under test conditions.
Booking the test
Book through the official CELPIP website. Test centres are in most major Canadian cities; book early in busy periods.
